Eastern Conference Final: New York Rangers v. New Jersey Devils

It's finally here, the conference finals have arrived. The remaining two teams in the east are Atlantic Division rivals the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils. Let's get this show on the road shall we?

So what should you expect from this series? Well if history tells us anything you should expect very little love between these two teams. The history and proximity between these two teams should lead to some chippy and intense games.

"Bullets my only weakness! How did he know!"
Both goaltenders (Brodeur and Lundqvist) have proven to be elite goaltenders, and both have the ability to steal a game (or maybe even a series). Expect low scoring games, and exceptional goal tending.
"Just thinking of those delicious little burgers makes me wanna burn this mutha fucker down!"
Another aspect to this series will be great defensive play. Both teams block a lot of shots, and play great team defense. There's a chance that can lead to boring "trap" hockey as well.

"Dude we're so high right now"
"We're not low"

Overall this series should be intense and hopefully exciting. With great scorers like Parise, Kovalchuk, Gaborik, and Richards there should be lots of scoring opportunities. There is also the rivalry and hatred between these two that will rear it's ugly head at some point I'm sure.

"This city is gross, and it smells like farts."

Prediction:

The Devils continue on their journey for delicious burgers, but their effort is thwarted by the Rangers serious man love.
