NHL Draft Recap: Nail Before Sod

The NHL draft was held today in beautiful Pittsburgh, PA, and as expected, Nail Yakupov was selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers. Seriously though, how do the Oilers keep getting these 1st overall picks?

Nail in a suit, because I can.
Of course the big news of the day was the Penguins trading Jordan Staal to play with two of his other bothers in Carolina. Are the Staals thinking of expanding the sod farm down there or something? Apparently Jordan is also getting married today, so good for him. I wonder if the Jordan Staal fangirls/boys are more upset over the trade or the marriage? Also, holy shit people work quickly on Wikipedia.
This took approx. 3 and half min to happen. I'm actually surprised it took that long.

Some other shit happened too. There was a Yandle trade rumor that never happened. Some poor kid got drafted by Columbus, and the Flyers were met with a shit ton of boos from the crowd (Bravo Penguins fans). The Calgary Flames are forever hilarious and sad, and that's pretty much it. The Penguins now have a ton of cap room, and July first looks like it might be a fun day after all. I will be live blogging that shit on free agency day, so make sure you check it out.
